Personal Emergency Evacuation Planning
The personal emergency evacuation planning training course helps individuals comply with fire safety laws in relation to disabled people who may need assistance when evacuating a building in an emergency.
The course includes information regarding the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, understanding the requirements for people with different demands, eliminating common pitfalls, considerations for emergency evacuations, and how to write and implement a plan.
This course is suitable for managers, supervisors or anyone responsible for a person with a disability who requires assistance in the event of fire evacuation.
Outline and content
Our personal emergency evacuation planning training is a half-day course, delivered via virtual classroom or face-to-face classroom by one of our qualified trainers.
During the personal emergency evacuation planning course, you will cover the following modules:
- What is a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP)?
- Legislation.
- Who requires one?
- Residential buildings, including care homes.
- Putting a PEEP in place.
- Check and review.
