The CDM regulation awareness training course will look in detail at the legislative requirements as well as the application of the accompanying CDM Approved Code of Practice.

This  training focuses on legislative requirements as well as the application of the accompanying HSE Guidance, which provides extensive targeted advice on the roles and responsibilities of each duty-holder on a construction project.

Our CDM regulation awareness training course is suitable for any person, contractor or company who may take the role of Client, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, Designer or Contractor

Outline and content

Our CDM regulations awareness training is a half-day course, delivered via virtual classroom or face-to-face classroom by one of our qualified trainers.

This training course focuses on legislative requirements as well as the application of the accompanying CDM Approved Code of Practice, which incorporates the roles and responsibilities of each duty-holder who may be held accountable for an accident on a construction project. 

During the CDM regulations awareness course, you will cover the following aspects:

  • A clear understanding of the significant changes in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) relevant to the management of health and safety in construction projects in the UK.
  • Set out the duties of all “dutyholders” defined in the new Regulations, paying specific attention to the Designer.
  • Discuss the Regulations and raise any issues of concern.

Prerequisites

Prior knowledge of health and safety is preferred, particularly in risk assessment and safe systems of work.
